Masonry

A grid of items with varying heights packed bottom-up.

A masonry layout fits items of different heights together like a brick wall. Pinterest is the famous example — each card is the same width, but heights vary, and shorter cards sit closer to the top.

Masonry feels lively but breaks reading order — items are not strictly left-to-right or top-to-bottom. Best for visual content (photos, design inspiration) where order matters less than browsing.
