A specialized control for choosing a date.
A date picker pops open a calendar grid where the user can tap a specific day. Some include time, range selection, or quick presets like "today" or "next week."
Always allow typing the date directly as a fallback. Calendars are great for picking close-by dates but slow for distant ones — birthdays from decades ago are faster to type.
