List view
A vertical stack of items shown in compact rows.
A list view shows items as horizontal rows, one per row, scrolling vertically. Each row holds the essential info — title, a couple of details, maybe an action. Email inboxes, file lists, and chat histories are list views.
Lists are denser than grids, so they fit more on screen. Use them when scanning a name or short detail is the user main task. For visual content (photos, products), grids are stronger.
