A card is a small box that holds one piece of content together — a product, a profile, an article preview. Cards make a list of items easy to scan.
Cards usually share a structure: image or icon on top, title, short description, sometimes a button. Repeating the same card structure across a list creates rhythm and predictability.
A subtle shadow often lifts each card slightly off the background. The lift gives the eye a clear edge and helps the card feel like a tappable object, not a flat patch.
