Avatar
A small image or initial representing a person or account.
An avatar is the small picture next to a name — a profile photo, a generated illustration, or initials in a colored circle when no photo is uploaded. It gives an account a face.
Round avatars are most common because they isolate the subject from a square crop. When the photo is missing, fall back to initials on a brand-colored background, or a generic silhouette. Never leave a blank circle.
