Input
A field where the user can type or pick a value.
An input is anywhere a user enters information — a text box, an email field, a date picker, a search bar. Inputs are how the user talks back to the interface.
A good input is clearly labeled, gives helpful placeholder text, and shows errors close to the field. Inputs that are too small, too unclear, or too far from their label cause friction.
