Carousel
A row of slides the user swipes or auto-advances through.
A carousel shows one slide at a time with arrows or dots to move between them. Banner promotions, photo galleries, and product highlights commonly use it. Some auto-advance every few seconds.
Carousels look efficient but most visitors only see slide one. If something is important, do not bury it on slide three. Avoid auto-advance — it is a usability tax that beats out almost every benefit.
