Chart

A visual that turns numbers into shapes you can compare.

A chart presents data as bars, lines, dots, or slices so trends and differences are obvious at a glance. Picking the right chart type matters — a bar for comparing categories, a line for change over time, a pie only for parts of a whole.

Keep charts simple. Label the axes clearly, limit colors to what carries meaning, and never use 3D effects — they distort the very thing you are trying to communicate.
