A panel that slides in from a screen edge.
A drawer is a panel that slides in from the side (usually the left) of the screen, covering or pushing aside the main content. It typically holds navigation links or filters that do not need to be visible all the time.
On mobile, drawers are common for primary navigation and open via a hamburger icon. On desktop, drawers are used more sparingly — sidebar navigation that stays visible is often a better choice.
