Page shown when a URL leads nowhere.
A 404 page appears when a URL leads nowhere — a typo, a deleted page, a broken link. The number comes from the HTTP status code that means "not found."
Make 404s helpful, not just sad. Offer a link back home, a search bar, and maybe popular pages. Friendly tone and a small illustration soften the dead end without making the broken link feel okay.
