Toast

A brief message that slides in and disappears on its own.

A toast is a small notification that pops up at the edge of the screen, lingers a few seconds, and slides away. It tells you something happened — "Saved," "Removed," "Sent" — without blocking what you were doing.

Toasts are for confirmations and minor alerts. They should never carry information the user must act on, because they vanish. Critical errors belong in a more persistent place.
