Search bar
A text input dedicated to finding content.
A search bar is a text field with a magnifying-glass icon, used to filter or look up content. Pressing Enter (or clicking the icon) submits the query. Most apps put it at the top of the screen or behind a search button.
Modern search bars search as the user types (instant search) or wait for Enter. Instant search feels faster but costs more in requests. Either way, give clear feedback when no results are found.
