Sidebar navigation
A vertical menu running down one side of the screen.
A sidebar holds the main navigation as a tall vertical list, usually on the left. It stays visible while the user moves through the app, so jumping between sections takes one click.
Sidebars work when there are many top-level sections and screen space allows it. On small screens, the sidebar collapses behind a hamburger icon and reopens as a drawer.
