Coach mark
A tooltip overlay that highlights features for first-time users.
A coach mark is a small annotation pointing to a UI element — usually a tooltip with an arrow and a short tip. They appear once for new users, often as a guided tour: "Tap here to add a task" → "Swipe to delete."
Use coach marks sparingly. Three or four is the limit; more becomes a manual the user wants to escape. Always include a Skip button on the first one and a clear way to dismiss each step.
